India to London – 3 stopovers you cannot miss

India to London – 3 stopovers you cannot miss

Travelling to London? How about an additional vacation? Do as the smart travellers do?

You should be thankful if the direct flight to London is too expensive or available. You can infact make it even more interesting by adding one of these cities as your layover / stopover destination to your holiday list:

Paris

  • Paris, France : On a Paris layover if you are at the De Gaulle airport, there are a ton of things that you can do including tickets to a show at Moulin Rouge, skipping the line at the Eiffel Tower, segway tours through Paris, day tours for wine tasting, French cooking classes, Paris night bike tours, river cruises, helicopter and balloon rides, and so much more.

istanbul

  • Istanbul, Turkey:  Istanbul offers a lot both inside and outside the airport. Deposit your bags at the Baggage Custody Services on the Arrivals Floor of both the International and Domestic Terminals. They are open 24 hours a day in both locations. So, just get going for the Turkish Hamam, sight seeing and what not.

Dubai

  • Dubai, UAE : It’s the most populous of the seven emirates that make up the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Right at the airport you’ll also find most places of business, including hotels, clubs, shops and markets. Shopping, whether in large duty-free malls that offer tons of entertainment and dining options, or the traditional Eastern souk, is a popular pastime in Dubai. Otherwise log on to the Emirates Airlines website and they book layover sight seeing at affordable prices.

Why should you book a flight with Layovers? In addition to an extra destination, flights with layovers are often cheaper than direct flights. So, instead of killing time filling out crossword puzzles and browsing the bookstore (there are only so many hours you can spend flipping through magazines you haven’t purchased before you’re asked to leave), why not dine on dishes created by celebrity chefs or take a mini-excursion to a local city.
